This year over President's Day weekend, February 16-18, 2008, we went to Ridgecrest to visit Dylan's Great Grandma Juanita and Great Uncle David. It was a long drive from Pacifica to Ridgecrest, about 7 hours each way, but we think Grandma really appreciated the visit. When we arrived on Saturday night Bill cooked us a nice dinner. Dylan particularly enjoyed the olives and ice cream. On Saturday Bill cooked us breakfast and took us to the park to play.
After playing in the park, Bill and Uncle David took Dylan on a toy shopping spree at Walmart. Dylan got to pick whatever toys he wanted and throw them in the cart! He chose mostly cars and a couple of balls with cars on them. After naptime we went back to David's to visit and then we had dinner at a local pizza place. Dylan LOVED the arcade in the pizza place and we had to drag him out of there. On our way out of town on Monday morning, we stopped for one last visit at Grandma Juanitia's mobile home and then we got on the road. We were all very tired, but very glad we made the trip.
